HEALTH SECTOR INTERVENTIONS
Some of the successes achieved so far by the Emma Skipper Foundation in the Health sector include the renovation of patients’ wards at the Oba Ademola hospital in Abeokuta which now cater for and provide relief to many patients, free eye examinations and distribution of over 2000 free eye-glasses, HIV eradication in Ogun and Kano State in conjunction with Canadian Parliamentary Center.
POVERTY ALLEVIATION AND PEOPLE EMPOWERMENT
In the area of Poverty eradication, he has jump started the micro businesses sector within the constituency by empowering the people of Abeokuta South Federal Constituency through the initiation of a revolving Micro Credit Loan Scheme worth Twenty Five Million Naira. The scheme has so far achieved tremendous results and has made a major positive impact in the lives of the beneficiaries and the large number of people who depend on them one way or the other.
SECURITY OF LIVES AND PROPERTY
As part of his contributions to the ongoing and spirited efforts of the Federal Government and the Government of Ogun State to tackle the general problem of insecurity in the country, Bankole has shown his own deep concern for the safety of lives and property within the constituency by contributing substantially to the completion of a police post for the people of Kemta community in Abeokuta. He has also successfully embarked on major repairs and resuscitation of a number of Police vehicles hitherto left abandoned. These vehicles are still in use today.
In the area of infrastructure, Bankole put his position in the National Assembly to good use by attracting additional federal presence into the constituency in the way of various water projects and primary health care.
EDUCATIONAL SECTOR INTERVENTIONS
Hon Bankole is of the unshakeable faith that education is probably the greatest gift that one can give to an individual. This is why he has been able to provide over 1000 scholarships in varying sums to students of the Abeokuta South Federal Constituency spread over primary, secondary and tertiary levels of education in and outside Ogun State. He has distributed free text and work books for some of these students and donated about 600 tables and chairs to his Alma Mater- the Baptist Boys High School Abeokuta. Bankole is one of the supporters of the Lagos State University Medical Students Association.
