About the committee
(1) There shall be a Committee to be known as Committee on Works consisting of not more than 40 members appointed at the commencement of the life of the House.
(2) The Committee's jurisdiction shall cover:
- Construction and maintenance of Federal roads and bridges
- Traffic regulation and road safety code
- Federal Fire Services
- Survey and mapping
- Roads research
- Federal Road Maintenance Agency
- Oversight over the Ministry of Works and all Parastatals thereunder
- Annual budget estimates
