About the committee
(1) There shall be a Committee to be known as Committee on Science and Technology consisting of not more than 40 members appointed at the commencement of the life of the House.
(2) The Committee's jurisdiction shall cover:
- Scientific research and development
- Science scholarships
- Energy research
- Basic science research
- Outer space including exploration and control thereof
- Astronautical research and development including resources, personnel, equipment and facilities
- Science and technology matters generally
- Information Technology
- Raw Material Research and Development Council
- Oversight over the Ministry of Science and technology and her Parastatals
- Annual budget estimates
