About the committee
(1) There shall be a Committee to be known as Committee on Poverty Alleviation consisting of between not more than 40 members appointed at the commencement of the life of the House.
(2) The Committee's jurisdiction shall cover:
- All matters relating to poverty alleviation programmes and bodies but not covered by the Committee on Women Affairs or any other Committee
- Oversight over Poverty Alleviation Agencies and Programmes
- Annual budget estimates
