About the committee
(1) There shall be a Committee to be known as Committee on Petroleum Resources-(Downstream) consisting of not more than 40 members appointed at the commencement of the life of the House.
(2) The Committee's jurisdiction shall cover:
- Petroleum Refineries
- Petroleum products marketing
- Petrochemicals
- Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency
- Petroleum Technology Development Fund
- Pipeline and Petroleum Marketing Company (PPMC)
- Matters relating to down stream Petroleum Sector and oversight over Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation(NNPC) down stream activities generally
- Annual budget estimates
