About the committee
(1) There shall be a Committee to be known as Committee on Niger-Delta Development consisting of between not more than 40 members appointed at the commencement of the life of the House.
(2) The Committee's jurisdiction shall cover:
- All matters relating to Niger Delta Development Commission
- Co-ordinate and monitor activities of development partners in the Niger-Delta to ensure effectiveness for development of the area
- Studying on a continuous basis matters relating to conflict between or among communities and development partners to forestall frustration of economic activities in the Niger Delta Region.
- Annual budget estimates
