About the committee
(1) There shall be a Committee to be known as Committee on Information and National Orientation consisting of not more than 40 members appointed at the commencement of the life of the House.
(2) The Committee's jurisdiction shall cover:
- Oversight over Ministry of Information
- Print and Electronic media owned by the Government
- Public Relations, Public Enlightenment and Information Services
- National Orientation Agency
- Voice of Nigeria
- National Press Council
- Nigerian Television College, Jos
- National Television Authority
- News Agency of Nigeria
- Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria
- Nigerian Broadcasting Commission
- Films and Video Censors Board
- All Parastatals under the Ministry of Information and National Orientation
- Annual budget estimates
