About the committee
(1) There shall be a Committee to be known as Committee on Narcotic Drugs, and Financial Crimes consisting of not more than 40 members appointed at the commencement of the life of the House.
(2) The Committee's jurisdiction shall cover:
- All matters relating to the enforcement and administration of laws on Narcotic Drugs and Psycho-tropic substances
- Oversight over Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC)
- Oversight over all organisations, agencies and institutions established by law on, Narcotic Drugs andFinancial Crimes
- Monitoring Agencies involved in the detection of Financial Crimes, money laundering and Advance Fee Fraud
- National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency
- Annual Budget Estimates
