About the committee
(1) There shall be a Committee to be known as Committee on Communications consisting of not more than 40 members appointed during the life of the House.
(2) The Committee's jurisdiction shall cover:
- Telecommunications — including Global systems for Mobile Communications, (GSM), NITEL Ltd and M-Tel Services
- Nigerian Communications Commission
- Telephones and Telexes
- Post Offices and Postal Services
- Cablegrams
- Frequency Allocation
- Satellite usage
- Communication technology
- Communications matters generally
- Annual budget estimates
